Job Title: Shipyard Operations Manager

We seek an accomplished professional to oversee all vessel docking, undocking, and mooring operations at our premier shipyard.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive docking plans, block placements, and stress calculations.
  • Direct docking teams, including riggers, crane operators, and mooring gangs.
  • Oversee vessel positioning, mooring, and shifting operations.
  • Conduct pre-docking inspections of dock equipment and blocks.
  • Monitor tides, currents, and environmental conditions.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 8-10 years' experience in shipyard/dry dock operations.
  • Proven track record as a Dockmaster or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of vessel structures, stress calculations, and stability.
  • Familiarity with dry dock control systems and maritime regulations.
  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
  • Flexibility with working hours to meet vessel schedules.

Our ideal candidate will possess excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to work independently, and a strong sense of accountability.

The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring seamless vessel docking and undocking procedures, while maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.
