Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic individual to safeguard the environmental and public health of Singapore. As an Operations Planning Strategist, you will be part of the Vector Control and Operations Division, responsible for planning and implementing vector-borne diseases surveillance, prevention, and control programmes.

The role requires close partnership and concerted efforts by multiple internal and external partners and stakeholders, underpinned by an evidence-based, integrated vector management approach. Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Conceptualising strategies and formulating/reviewing operational processes on vector control operations, with a focus on Gravitrap-related projects.
  • Assisting in procurement and overseeing the smooth running of vector control services/supplies contracts, including processing certification of works done and payment.
  • Working closely with key stakeholders and NEA Regional Offices to implement and review operational programmes pertaining to vector control.
  • Performing data analysis and preparing reports, proposals, or submissions.
  • Preparing inspection reports and presenting findings and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Reviewing work processes to improve efficiency and productivity, including providing inputs for potential system and IT developments.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:
  • 2 years of relevant working experience in operations planning or contract management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • The ability to think strategically, plan, and apply analytical reasoning in operations management.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to handle pressure, meet deadlines, multitask, and adapt effectively in a dynamic environment.
  • High self-motivation, a proactive approach to work, and a mature, independent, and resourceful attitude.
  • A commitment to teamwork, a positive attitude, and willingness to work after office hours, weekends, and public holidays if required.
