Manufacturing Equipment Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Equipment Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our operations group, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing equipment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing and engineering, with experience in evaluating and selecting equipment that meets manufacturing needs. You will be responsible for overseeing the installation, modification, upgrade, and maintenance of our manufacturing equipment, as well as maintaining current records on equipment manufacturers' technical notices, upgrades, and safety issues.

In this role, you will also study equipment performance and reliability to establish programs for increasing uptime and resolving equipment problems. Additionally, you will provide technical support to our manufacturing equipment repair and process engineering organizations, defining and writing preventative maintenance schedules.

Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and select equipment that meets manufacturing needs
  • Oversee the installation, modification, upgrade, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment
  • Maintain current records on equipment manufacturers' technical notices, upgrades, and safety issues
  • Study equipment performance and reliability to establish programs for increasing uptime and resolving equipment problems
  • Provide technical support to manufacturing equipment repair and process engineering organizations
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g. engineering, manufacturing)
  • Minimum 2 years of related experience in manufacturing and engineering
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced degree in a relevant field (e.g. master's or Ph.D.)
  • Experience with lean manufacturing principles and practices
  • Knowledge of FMEA methodologies
  • Skills in electrical, reliability, and process engineering
