Job Title: Precision Mechanical Engineer

  • Design and develop precision mechanical components, subsystems, and systems for next-generation semiconductor metrology equipment.
  • Translate technical requirements into subsystem specifications, conduct feasibility studies, propose and complete design concepts, detailed designs, and drawings.
  • Conduct analysis and simulations, including structural, thermal, vibration/modal Finite Element Analyses (FEAs), participate and lead design reviews.
  • Plan and execute design verification/validation, fit/form test on sub-assembly/system, perform risk analysis, develop test plans, and execute verification testing of subsystems and systems.
  • Manage suppliers, ensure design requirements are specified and parts quality meets specifications with inspection on incoming components.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform mechanical design of precision components, subsystems/system to support the development of the next generation semiconductor metrology equipment.
  • Own and drive the mechanical design process from conceptual design to detailed drawings.
  • Conduct analysis and simulations, including structural, thermal, vibration/modal Finite Element Analyses (FEAs).
  • Participate and lead design reviews to obtain a peer-oriented design assessment.
  • Plan and execute design verification/validation, fit/form test on sub-assembly/system, perform risk analysis, develop test plans, and execute verification testing of subsystems and systems.
  • Ensure all design requirements are appropriately specified and parts quality meets specifications with inspection on incoming components.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong background in mechanical engineering, preferably with experience in precision component design and development.
  • Excellent communication skills, with ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in CAD software, FEA tools, and other relevant software packages.
  • Ability to analyze complex technical data and identify areas for improvement.
