Our Team is Expanding

Building Services requires an experienced Mechanical Engineer to lead mechanical services design for building projects.

This position involves undertaking engineering tasks of increasing scope and complexity, analysing information, producing design, tenders, proposals and technical report writing. Responsible for coordinating quality assurance and commissioning of designs with other disciplines and design consultants. Jobs control, planning, monitoring progress and job cost reporting are also key aspects of this role.

Responsibilities:

  1. Leading mechanical services (HVAC) design for building projects
  2. Assume responsibility and undertake engineering tasks of increasing scope and complexity
  3. Responsible for analysis of information, production of design, tenders, proposals and technical report writing
  4. Coordinate quality assurance and commissioning of designs with other disciplines and design consultants
  5. Control jobs, plan, monitor progress and report on job costs
  6. Communicate effectively with clients, sub-consultants, contractors and other parties relevant to the project
  7. Review designs prepared by others on behalf of clients
  8. Liaise with authorities on plans submission and compliance

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering (recognised by Professional Engineers Board, Singapore advantageous)
  • At least 5 years experience in a consulting firm
  • Experience in leading roles in ventilation & air-conditioning (HVAC, Plumbing & Drainage) design & design management of commercial, healthcare or school projects advantageous
  • Competent user of relevant engineering software, Building Information Modelling and Navisworks
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English
  • Able to work independently and exercise initiative
  • Delegation and communication skills to enlist the help of others to meet objectives
  • Team focused working style
