Job Description
  • Liaise with the project superintendent and structure engineer to understand and follow up on project schedules, ensuring timely completion.
  • Expedite site fabrication and installation works with allocated sub-contractor teams, focusing on achieving targeted progress milestones.
  • Provide regular project progress updates and plans for the next week's activities, ensuring transparency and coordination.
  • Red Line Mark Up drawings are completed progressively, and engineering updates are maintained in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with the project superintendent and structure engineer to resolve drawing and site discrepancies, conduct equipment structural clash checks, and troubleshoot fabrication matters.
  • Maintain accurate records of remnant materials for final reconciliation.
  • Coordinate and organize scaffolding erection and de-staging plans, ensuring safe and efficient working practices.
  • Monitor and oversee fabrication and installation job fit-ups, welding, and inspection processes.
  • Ensure compliance with project requirements and scope of works, understanding and adhering to contractual obligations.
  • Closely manage subcontractor performance, ensuring they operate within the provided schedule and scope.
  • Prepare and submit timesheets for drawing changes, modifications, and scope variations, capturing all necessary information.
  • Provide critical information for preparing MOS and JSA arrangements, as well as lifting plan arrangement drawings.
  • Distribute materials to subcontractors based on workfront needs, accounting for offcut materials and maintaining accurate records.
  • Process nesting requests promptly upon receiving drawings, maintaining organized records.
  • Maintain comprehensive files of DM shop drawings, including master copies and site records, as well as client drawings.
  • Verify and sign progress claims within three working days, ensuring timely submission.
  • Oversee toolbox meetings to ensure effective communication, and complete handovers to night shift supervisors.
  • Coordinate housekeeping and safety activities at allocated locations, promoting a safe working environment.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Marine Offshore equivalent.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Marine Shipyard operations involving structure fabrication supervision.
  • Proven ability to manage a workforce of subcontractors/ workers, directing them in structure fabrication and installation.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to chair daily discussions with subcontractor supervisors for progress updates.
