Job Title: Student Consultant

We're seeking a talented individual to join our team as a Student Consultant. This role presents an excellent opportunity to apply your skills and knowledge in a real-world setting, working on challenging projects and collaborating with experienced professionals.

About the Role

This position is part of our Infrastructure business, where you'll work alongside highly skilled specialists to deliver innovative solutions for our clients across various infrastructure projects.

You'll be responsible for supporting wildlife specialists in conducting fauna and flora surveys, as well as wildlife shepherding. Additionally, you'll perform spatial mapping for wildlife shepherding and biodiversity data collected from the field, and conduct literature reviews for baseline sections of environmental impact assessments.

Your tasks will also include data entry and analysis of biodiversity/environmental data, conducting site visits to monitor the implementation of environmental management plans, and preparing reports for these site visits and environmental surveys.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support wildlife specialists in conducting fauna and flora surveys and wildlife shepherding
  • Perform spatial mapping for wildlife shepherding and biodiversity data collected from the field
  • Conduct literature reviews for baseline sections of environmental impact assessments
  • Data entry and analysis of biodiversity/environmental data
  • Conduct site visits to monitor the implementation of environmental management plans
  • Prepare reports for site visits and environmental surveys
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need to possess basic understanding in Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and Environmental Management Plan (EMMP), skill in conducting terrestrial/marine ecology surveys, knowledge of local environmental legislations and acts, and internationally recognized standards regarding biodiversity.

You should also be able to work independently, as part of a team, and in a multi-cultural environment. Our ideal candidate will be outgoing, able to adapt quickly, and passionate about re-imagining engineering and pursuing continuous learning.
