Role Summary

The Capital Markets Chief Admin Offices is a critical team within Northern Trust, responsible for Risk, Resiliency, and Regulatory Change. This role sits within the Reg Change team and focuses on regulatory identification, impact assessment, and consultative support for the implementation of regulations affecting Capital Markets businesses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Stay up-to-date with regulatory changes impacting Capital Markets business units globally, with a primary focus on the US, UK, EU, AUS, and Singapore.
  • Contribute to the development of CM strategy and operating platform, ensuring alignment with global regulations.
  • Develop extensive knowledge of current global financial services market regulations.
  • Interpret regulations and guidance from CFTC, NFA, ESMA, FCA, and MAS, as well as other regulatory regimes.
  • Carry out complex initiatives involving multiple disciplines and/or ambiguous issues.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to internal partners and external clients on regulatory impacts.
  • Coordinate with internal compliance, legal, risk, and control partners.
  • Exercise sophisticated analytical thought to identify innovative solutions.
  • Impact customer, operational, project, or service objectives.
About You
  • Knowledge of risk management and strategic goals for the bank's business.
  • In-depth knowledge of regulations, federal, state, and local laws and regulations acquired through formal education and work experience.
  • Strong communication and analytical skills to consult with partners/clients and analyze information.
  • 7 or more years of risk management or compliance experience.
