Job Overview

As a Regulatory Compliance Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to ensure that all trading operations align with the relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies governing risk reporting in the energy sector, specifically within the gas, crude, and products markets. Your role will encompass the review of trading transactions, the formulation of compliance strategies, the introduction of innovative monitoring practices, and the preparation of detailed reports for regulatory bodies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable legal and regulatory requirements
  • Assess the implications of new trading transactions on compliance frameworks
  • Create and update compliance policies and plans
  • Implement advanced monitoring techniques in response to evolving trading activities and regulatory changes
  • Oversee the selection processes for counterparties and brokers
  • Prepare and submit compliance reports to regulatory authorities
  • Stay informed about regulatory developments and facilitate necessary adjustments to compliance practices

Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field
  • At least 5 years of experience in risk compliance within the energy commodities sector
  • Strong understanding of commodity regulations
  • Exceptional leadership and organizational capabilities
  • Proven ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines effectively
