Job Opportunity

Research Position:

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to fill the position of Research Assistant in our institution. As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on research projects in biostatistics and modelling.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive literature reviews to identify relevant studies and methods
  • Analyse complex data using statistical and mathematical modelling techniques to inform decision-making
  • Develop and disseminate high-quality reports, presentations, and publications of results and findings in peer-reviewed journals
  • Collaborate with senior researchers on day-to-day tasks and provide administrative support as required
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, statistics, engineering, physics or biomedical/life sciences with quantitative analysis experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively articulate complex ideas
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve project goals and objectives
  • Proficiency in statistical software (R) and strong analytical skills
  • Interest in applying quantitative methods to epidemiology and public health questions

The ideal candidate will possess relevant research experience, a master's qualification in a relevant area, and experience with literature reviews and/or analysing epidemiological data. They should also be able to demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, creativity, and attention to detail.
