The primary responsibility of the UI/UX Designer will be to craft accessible digital solutions that cater to diverse user needs. To achieve this goal, the ideal candidate will actively participate in planning and facilitating discovery activities such as surveys, user interviews, workshops, and usability testing.

  • Conduct Research and Analysis:
  • Work with cross-functional teams to analyze research findings, translate insights into user personas, journey maps, user flows, wireframes, and prototype concepts for testing with real users.
  • Design and Implement:
  • Collaborate with developers to create ServiceNow interfaces using Figma, balancing user and business needs with ServiceNow capabilities and limitations.
  • Iterate and Improve:
  • Drive iterative improvements to designs based on feedback from users and business stakeholders.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining a design system which ensures that public sector projects follow consistent UI patterns.
  • Ensure designs are compliant with accessibility and privacy requirements.
  • Collaborate with fellow designers to maintain quality standards and advocate for design best practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • User-Centred Design Expertise:
  • A strong portfolio showcasing the UX design process and shipped products.
  • Proficiency in user-centred design principles and methodologies, including user research, persona creation, user flows, wireframing, prototyping, and usability testing.
  • Experience supporting UI component libraries, extending them, or maintaining them.
  • Experienced in designing and prototyping in Figma or similar tools.
  • Ability to communicate design rationale clearly to cross-functional teams and senior business stakeholders.
  • Experience designing for e-Government initiatives, citizen engagement platforms, or public service delivery systems is a plus.
  • Background Requirements:
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in UI/UX or interaction design.
