The workplace is where most adult Singaporeans spend a majority of their day at, and is thus a key setting for health promotion. Companies and organisations can have a positive influence on their employee's health, through creating the right type of working environment.

We provide workplaces with the necessary assistance and tools they need to ensure that they provide a health promoting environment for their employees to work in. The areas of health that we focus on are obesity prevention and weight management, chronic disease management, mental health and smoking cessation.

To achieve our goals, we have created health promoting workplace clusters and company-based workplace health programmes, as well as continually provide targeted interventions for mature workers across industry sectors. Our workplace health strategy that combines an ecosystem approach, a company-based approach and a sectoral approach allows us to ensure that all workers in Singapore will eventually experience a health promoting working environment.

The Settings-based Workplace Outreach Department (SBO) drives strategic partnerships with stakeholders such as real estate partners, business space owners, health solution providers and companies to design, market and implement impactful health promotion solutions to improve the health of working population in Singapore.

We are seeking highly motivated, dynamic team-players to join our Workplace Health team in promoting good health among the working population.

Key responsibilities:

Programme Evaluation and Analysis: Perform programme evaluation and analysis activities, e.g. design data collection, data cleaning, organising and analysis processes Review existing evaluation framework, propose changes where needed) and implement based on the framework Propose and develop indicators to review implemented programmes, based on stakeholders' requirements Critique existing programme frameworks or materials, and find ways to improve them

Programme Strategy and Design: Ensure programmes are relevant to target audience, through research and constant market updates Partner HPB divisions to incorporate HPB's strategic thrusts in the workplace setting Develop effective and sustainable workplace health promotion solutions to achieve positive health outcomes among working adults Co-develop, implement, and refine national strategies to increase adoption of Workplace Health Promotion (WHP) programmes by real estate partners and employers, and boost participation from workers Partnerships and Outreach Forge and develop strategic and sustainable partnerships to advance health promotion efforts in the workplace setting Manage partner accounts, operationalise and implement programmes based on identified needs for specific clusters.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in business development and collaborations across multiple stakeholders will be preferable. Experience in workplace health promotion will be an advantage

  • Experience in programme analysis and evaluation activities will be an advantage

  • Basic understanding of programme design and incorporating relevant mechanics to drive intended objectives

  • Strong collaborative and partnership building skills confident to work with corporate partners

  • Positive mindset and enjoy challenges in a fast pace environment

  • Able to multi-task, handle highly stressful situations and tight deadlines

  • Able to work well in teams

Key competencies:

  • Analytical skills and related competencies (e.g. using Python or other data processing tools/software)

  • Good project and account management skills

  • Strong partner engagement and management skills

  • Excellent communication (verbal & written), presentation and negotiation skills.

  • Proactive, results oriented and possess good analytical ability.

  • Able to present complex concepts in a clear and relevant manner to the target audience.
