We are looking for driven individuals who are passionate about growing a business. The ideal candidate should be outspoken, possess the ability to learn quickly and execute with excellence, and are attentive to details with great organisational skills.

The goal of the internship is for you to gain valuable work experience and skills to start your career in business development. You will have the opportunity to learn about the systems, thought processes and workflows of a fast-growing direct-to-consumer ecommerce brand.

Responsibilities

As a business development intern, you will assist in identifying prospective customers, building relationships, and drafting proposals to promote our business both online and offline. It is a role that involves a dynamic range of initiatives that will contribute directly to the growth of the company.

  • Proactively generate new leads and reach out to potential clients
  • Manage existing clients/incoming leads, identify their needs and draft business proposals
  • Perform product demonstration/presentation clearly and coherently to clients
  • Project coordination across teams to develop new business
  • Research and maintain up-to-date knowledge of current market trends
Required Skills & ExperienceSkills
  • Ability to communicate effectively in and across teams
  • Must possess strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Track record of results-oriented achievements and successful strategy execution
  • Detail-oriented organisational skills
  • Able to work in a fast pace and multi-task environment
  • Positive, aggressive, self-motivated and with a hunter mindset.
  • Analytical, resourceful, and adept at thinking outside the box'
Experience
  • Proficient in Google Workspace apps (Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides)
Education
  • High school diploma and currently pursuing undergraduate degree in business, marketing, or other related thereto preferred or equivalent work experience required
Nice-to-haves
  • Self-starter. Have started personal projects and seen it to completion with relative success
  • Great leadership qualities
  • Remote working experience with a team
  • Successful completion of introductory courses in marketing, business, or equivalent
