Job Purpose

To effectively manage and communicate the key messages to prospective as well as the existing investors with the objective of increasing visibility of the firm's offerings to institutional investor community globally and AUM of funds on the asset management platform.

Duties and Responsibilities

Strategic Planning & Business Growth

  • Raise assets for various funds, both public markets and private markets, from institutions, family offices and other accredited investors
  • Identify and target new potential institutional investors as well as explore possibility of organic growth with existing pool of investors.
  • Stay abreast of market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory developments to identify opportunities and potential risks.
  • Determine the organization's position in the market and to provide the Global Head of Asset Management with a proactive assessment and any other relevant feedback and guidance that is needed by the organization's senior personnel on how to increase interactions and visibility with the investment community.

Stakeholder Relationship Management

  • Responsible for effectively communicating key messages to prospective as well as existing investors in a timely and effective manner. Coverage - Korea, Japan and other parts in Asia.
  • Manage the execution of organization's corporate messaging across different formats like making presentations, press releases, employee meetings, investor meetings etc.
  • Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly meetings with investors, either in person or via phone to address any of their relevant questions or concerns. Where relevant, to be responsible for organizing and monitoring management calls with the investor community and/or clients as well as in developing and preparing PR efforts.
  • Lead and coordinate the RFPs, RFIs and onsite due diligence from investors.

Data Management & Presentation

  • Maintain the CRM database with the most update information on investors.
  • Generate monthly, quarterly, and other ad hoc reports to be distributed to external and internal stakeholders.
  • Prepare marketing and investment related presentation materials across all products.

Prior Work Experience

  • At least 10+ years of industry experience, preferably with at least 7 years of professional experience in asset management firms in institutional sales roles.

Qualifications

  • At least a bachelor's degree in business or finance.
  • MBA or equivalent is strongly preferred CFA holders will be favorably considered.

Domain Skills

  • Deep knowledge and understanding in institutional sales / investor relations and business development function, and process.
  • Deep understanding of investment strategies, components of various valuation methodologies etc.
  • Ability to effectively articulate to investors and stakeholders.
  • Proficient in managing investor's due diligence process.
  • Fluency in Korean language. Fluency/Knowledge of Japanese language is also preferred but not a must.

Soft Skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively with business partners across the organization to achieve positive results.
  • Develop a sense of credibility within the investor community and the organization's management team.
  • Possess a passion, drive & an ability to be the company's public voice, processing and accurately communicating information with diplomacy & confidence.
  • An independent, motivated, strategic thinker with the ability to make quick decisions in a proactive & competent manner.
  • Analytical and interpersonal skills and ability to interface at all levels, both internally & externally.
  • Strong written & oral communication with experience in delivering communications in written, web, and other mediums to multiple locations.
  • Organized person with the ability to problem solve, multitask & meet deadlines.
