Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Collaborate with the CEO to develop and implement strategic plans specifically tailored to the lending business, ensuring alignment with overall organizational goals and objectives.
- Lending Operations Management: Oversee all aspects of the lending business, including loan origination, underwriting, servicing, and portfolio management, to ensure efficient and effective operations.
- Risk Management: Develop and implement risk management strategies and policies for the lending business, ensuring compliance with regulations and best practices while minimizing credit and operational risks.
- Financial Performance: Work closely with the CFO to establish lending-related financial targets and metrics, monitor performance against targets, and take corrective actions as needed to achieve desired results.
- Product Development: Lead efforts to identify market opportunities and develop innovative lending products and services that meet the needs of our target customers while maximizing profitability.
- Team Leadership: Provide strong leadership and guidance to the lending team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including borrowers, regulators, investors, and other external partners, to support business growth and success.
- Technology and Innovation: Stay abreast of technological advancements and industry trends in lending, leveraging emerging technologies and best practices to enhance operational efficiency and customer experience.
- Compliance and Governance: Ensure that lending operations comply with all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies, and maintain strong governance structures to uphold integrity and transparency.
- Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Establish KPIs and reporting mechanisms to track lending business performance, providing regular updates to senior management and the Board of Directors.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field MBA or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in lending, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role overseeing lending operations.
- Deep understanding of lending principles, practices, and regulatory requirements, particularly in the context of the financial services industry.
- Proven track record of driving business growth and profitability in a lending environment, with strong financial acumen and analytical skills.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve high performance.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a results-oriented mindset and a focus on continuous improvement.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
