Assistant Manager, Industry Engagement and Student Development

Centre of Excellence International Trading (CEIT) is established to administer the International Trading Programme (ITP). It serves as a conduit to connect NTU with Enterprise Singapore and industry partners with the aim to nurture a specialized, global-ready workforce for the international commodity trading sector.

CEIT is looking for an Assistant Manager who will play a critical role in fostering industry partnerships and overseeing the student journey to ensure smooth delivery of CEIT's initiatives. The incumbent will work closely with various parts of the university and the industry to achieve its goals.

The role offers an exciting opportunity to engage with and build a network with a wide range of stakeholders within the International Trading (Agriculture, Metals & Mining, Oil & Gas) industry in Singapore. Besides playing a key role in the successful rollout of CEIT's initiatives, the successful candidate will also have the opportunity to contribute directly to student's initiatives and various collaborations with industry.

Key responsibilities include but not limited to the following:
  • Assist in planning and executing CEIT's initiatives across Student Development, Industry Engagements, and Programme Management. This includes collaborating with stakeholders on student engagement, event management, and branding and digital transformation projects
  • Establish and maintain relationships with Industry Partners - create internship opportunities, Students, Faculty, and Vendors aligning with CEIT's initiatives.
  • Lead the documentation and reporting of CEIT's initiatives, including the development of frameworks or processes for workplan implementation.
  • Fulfil the overall student management and administrative requirements for ITP.


Job Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in business or related field
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience, with at least
    • 2 years of experience in customer service, client support and service,
    • 2 years of experience in administration
    • Experience in the education industry is highly preferred
  • Stakeholder Management: Proven experience in relationship management, including working with industry partners, students, faculty, and vendors.
  • Administrative Skills: Demonstrated ability to manage student-related administrative processes effectively.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong ability to work with individuals at various levels and from diverse cultures, with excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent writing and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly and concisely.
  • Organizational Skills: Highly organized, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
  • Initiative and Independence: Versatile and independent self-starter who demonstrates ownership, accountability, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
