Assistant Vice President, Loan Operations

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day loan operations activities, ensuring the timely, accurate, and reliable processing of loan disbursements, rate-fixing, preparation of funding advice, processing rollovers, and collection of principal repayments, interest, and fees.
  • Implement credit limits in systems.
  • Prepare SWIFT Payments.
  • Conduct daily reconciliation of nostro accounts.
  • Report overdue collections, portfolio, and management reports.
  • Provide support for legal documentation on credit facilities, including preparation of facility letters and other security documents, review of operational aspects, verification of authorized signatures, and checking of conditions precedents and conditions subsequent.
  • Manage data and communicate information for Head Office and local regulatory reporting.
  • Maintain a diary for covenants and collateral monitoring.
  • Support Asian Branches in the role of the Singapore Branch as a regional hub (functional responsibilities on Loan Administration).
  • Drive process improvement, efficiency projects, and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Process audit requests.
  • Disseminate waiver requests, consents, and information undertakings to Front Office and Credit Risk.
  • Be involved in deal amendments and restructuring.

Job Requirement:

  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience handling loan operations for bilateral and syndicated credit facilities with knowledge in Credit and Loan Administration.
  • Essential knowledge of loan documentation.
  • Meticulous, accurate, timely, and reliable in loan processing.
  • Strong risk awareness.
  • Good communication skills and proficiency in written English are mandatory. Proficiency in the Chinese language is an added advantage.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic working environment, multitask, and handle work pressure is essential.
  • Candidates with experience in Trade Finance operations will have an added advantage.
  • Enthusiastic about learning and taking on process improvement projects.
