Project Lead in Inclusion and Teacher Quality

The Project Lead, Inclusion and Teacher Quality plays a pivotal role within the Edu Services team, driving the transformation of MPS preschools into centres of excellence that remain relevant, attractive, and sustainable, in alignment with the Methodist Education Mission.
This role is instrumental in shaping the future of early childhood education within MPS, ensuring that preschools provide high-quality learning experiences that embrace diversity, equity, and inclusion.
As an inclusion specialist, the Project Lead fosters a learning environment where every child—regardless of background, abilities, or learning differences—can thrive, participate, and reach their full potential, which includes supporting children with diverse learning needs, disabilities, or developmental differences, and ensuring they receive the necessary accommodations and interventions to engage meaningfully in their education.
She will work closely with teachers, families, and specialists to implement inclusive practices, provide individualized support, and create a welcoming and equitable classroom experience for all students.
Through this role, the Project Lead will drive meaningful change, ensuring that MPS preschools remain inclusive, empowering, and exemplary in early childhood education.

Key Responsibilities:
Championing Inclusive Education
• Develop and implement inclusive education strategies that enhance teaching and learning for all children.
• Assess and refine the curriculum, teaching methodologies, and classroom practices to accommodate diverse learners.
• Promote a nurturing and equitable atmosphere that promotes holistic development for all students and aligns with best practices in early childhood education and special needs support.
• Ensure that all children, regardless of race, background, or physical/mental challenges, can be included in daily activities and learning experiences.
Supporting and Empowering Educators
• Work closely with teachers, principals, and Inclusion Coordinators (ICOs) to provide guidance, mentorship, and professional development on inclusive teaching strategies.
• Serve as a mentor to the committee of Inclusion Coordinators (ICOs), inspiring a vision for inclusive teaching and learning.
• Equip educators with practical tools and resources to support children with varying abilities in the classroom.
• Facilitate workshops and training sessions to enhance educators' capacity to create accessible and adaptive learning environments.
Engaging Families and Specialists
• Work alongside specialists (e.g., speech therapists, occupational therapists, psychologists) to implement targeted interventions and individualized support plans.
• Foster open communication between educators, families, and specialists to create a holistic support system for every child.
Driving Systemic Change in MPS Preschools
• Conduct assessments and reviews of existing inclusion practices and frameworks within MPS.
• Develop long-term strategies for sustainable, inclusive practices across all MPS Centres.
• Develop a framework for sustained inclusion collaboration and collaborative partnerships with leadership and key stakeholders
that promote an equitable and nurturing learning environment.
• Stay current with pedagogies and educational trends to ensure curriculum relevancy and sustainability.
Budget Management and Other Duties
• Manage the budget and resources allocated to the inclusion services and programmes.
• Ensure services and programmes operate within financial resources while maintaining high-quality delivery.
• Work with functional teams on projects, processes, initiatives, and other duties assigned at relevant times.
Skills and Competencies Required :
1. Expertise in Inclusive Education
Strong understanding of inclusive teaching strategies and special education needs (SEN). Experience in adapting curriculum and teaching methods for diverse learners. Familiarity with individualized education plans (IEPs) and intervention strategies.
2. Leadership and Problem-Solving
Ability to develop and implement inclusion policies and frameworks. Strong decision-making and mentoring skills to guide teachers and staff. Creative thinking to solve challenges in diverse classrooms.
3. Collaboration and Relationship Building
Strong teamwork and communication skills to work with teachers, families, and specialists. Ability to build partnerships with community organizations and education experts. Experience in coaching and mentoring educators.
4. Training and Capacity Building
Experience in training teachers on inclusive education practices. Ability to design and lead workshops and professional development programs.Skills in evaluating and improving training materials.
5. Communication and Advocacy
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to advocate for inclusive policies and influence decision-makers.Strong presentation skills to engage different audiences.
6. Adaptability and Innovation
Openness to new teaching approaches and learning methods. Ability to adapt strategies based on student needs and research—a commitment to continuous improvement and innovation.
Experience :
• Minimum 5–7 years of experience in early childhood education, special education, or inclusive learning environments.
• Proven experience in mentoring teachers, leading training sessions, and implementing inclusive education strategies.
• Background in curriculum development or school leadership is a plus.
• Knowledge of individualized education plans (IEPs), intervention strategies, and classroom accommodations.
• Familiarity with local and international best practices in inclusive education and early childhood education.
• Experience working in faith-based or mission-driven education settings is beneficial.
• Strong passion for creating equitable learning environments for all children.
Qualification :
• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, Educational Leadership, Psychology, or a related field, with certification or professional training in Inclusive Education, Special Needs Education, or Early Intervention.
