What you'll own

In a Corporate Counsel role, you will manage legal business matters to protect the enterprise's rights in contract negotiations, supporting the onboarding of new merchants, advising on regulations governing merchant industries, resolving commercial disputes and reviewing business practices. As part of a legal team with over 200 attorneys and paraprofessionals, your focus will include:

· Prepare and negotiate contracts while providing legal advice and counsel to business units in areas that include payments processing or financial technology services, data security and regulatory matters.

· Performing legal research and analysis on commercial contracts and information technology law issues.

· Advise colleagues on legal issues relating to commercial contracts, product development and regulatory environments across APAC jurisdictions.

· Other related duties as assigned.

What you bring

· Experience drafting information and technology services agreements and general commercial contracts.

· Ability to review and evaluate multi-faceted issues and counsel business colleagues on complex legal questions relating to various business matters.

· A university degree and a Juris Doctor from an accredited law school

· Licensed to practice law in at least one Asia Pacific jurisdiction.
