Overview:
The Senior Executive, Academic Services plays a key role in supporting the Academic Director and Program Coordinators in the development, implementation, and management of academic programs. This includes ensuring programs meet institutional goals, industry needs, and regulatory compliance. The role also provides operational and administrative support to the Center for Sustainable Development (CSD).
Key Responsibilities
1. Program Development & Planning
- Assist in drafting new program proposals, including market research and program structure.
- Prepare and finalise program proposal documentation for university and regulatory approval (e.g., program specifications, curriculum outlines, budget projections).
- Support course planning and scheduling, including faculty assignments and delivery formats.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to support program approval and compliance processes, including documentation and submission to SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG).
2. Course Planning & Timetabling
- Collaborate with program coordinators to plan and schedule course offerings to maximise ROI per class, maintaining cost-effectiveness.
- Support curriculum development to ensure new cohorts receive relevant modules for student progression.
- Engage with lecturers to develop and manage timetables to optimize resource utilization and ensure smooth course delivery.
3. Center for Sustainable Development (CSD)
- Provide events support in coordination with stakeholders and represent the University in CSD events such as research seminars and workshops.
- Provide administrative support, including database management, report preparation, data entry, and document filing.
4. General Administration
- Assist in drafting policies, SOPs, and internal guidelines.
- Prepare and distribute meeting documents; take meeting minutes when required.
- Respond to general enquiries via email, phone, or in person.
Requirement
- Completion of a degree level qualification with at least two years of relevant experience.
- Strong knowledge of the Singapore private education industry, including regulatory frameworks, market dynamics, and institutional partnerships preferred.
- Proven project management skills, with experience in planning, execution, and stakeholder engagement.
- Strong organisational skills including the ability to organise workflows to meet competing demands and adaptability to a range of workplace expectations and responsibilities.
- Demonstrated experience in taking ownership and driving innovation, process improvement and contributing to overall corporate operations.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills including the ability to participate in a team environment demonstrating clear communication and mutual respect.
- Ability to embrace change in response to new initiatives, strategic direction or external requirements.
- Ability to make sound decisions within your sphere of responsibility and take responsibility for delivering to plan and on time.
- Demonstrated high level of computer literacy including office software skills in word processing, Excel spreadsheets, Databases and email applications.
