Roles & Responsibilities

Provide leadership in driving profitable sales for Singapore, Brunei and Indonesia and ensure that marketing strategy, tactics, and infrastructure are in place to successfully achieve the key plan drivers of the countries' operating objectives

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for achieving the countries' annual operating plan results (i.e., Sales, GP, Operating Profit, Pre-tax Profit, & Cash Flow targets).
  • Develop business plan for effectively executing a strategy in conjunction with regional marketing leadership to ensure the countries plan addresses local changing customer base, regulatory environment, competitive landscape and product portfolio.
  • Assess the current state of the business in the countries and develop plans to improve returns and leverage the sales channels and existing infrastructure
  • Develop and sustain outstanding customer relations, including relationships with key medical thought/opinion leaders and government ministries of health, local health care systems, third party majors and industry associations and key decision makers.
  • Navigate and execute on large contracts; provide direction for the development and execution of a contract.
  • Builds a strong and cohesive team of future leaders through coaching, development and empowerment.
  • Liaise with other functional leaders on a local/cluster level to deliver on financial commitments for the countries with a focus on improving sales growth and returns. Ensure robust forecasting processes to assess progress towards commitments.
  • Interface with the regional business-unit to resource business opportunities and maintain feedback loop into the Regional and global Business so opportunities can be resourced and/or funded.

Required Experence, Qualifications & Skillsets:

  • Degree in Business or Science required. Advanced degree in Business and Medical field strongly preferred -MBA preferred
  • 10+ yrs above experiences as the commercial leader in MNC company preferred.
  • Accomplished business professional within the Healthcare/ Pharma/ Medical Device industry with demonstrated leadership in a MNC's marketing function.
  • With proven experience implementing country programs resulting in significant growth and delivery on financial commitments.
  • Excellent communication skills (written & verbal) in English;
  • Experience leading health care business in a matrix environment
  • Strong customer orientation, creating partnerships that result in identification of emerging customer needs
  • Demonstrated experience in establishing programs to evaluate market characteristics and trends and position and differentiate products/services in new and existing markets
  • Proven track record of product launches and knowledgeable of regulatory environment
