Shift is a rapidly growing marketplace disrupting the logistics industry. Our platform is designed to address the everyday logistics problems faced by drivers, retailers, businesses and consumers and creates innovative tech solutions to move big and bulky things in a way they haven’t before.
Our service offerings span across the UK, Europe, and globally, providing a range of solutions such as on-demand couriers, contract removals, and freight forwarding. Our ultimate goal is to become a one-stop-shop for all of our clients' logistics needs, ranging from international shipping to last-minute deliveries and complex removals work
**The opportunity as the Country Head of Singapore
Due to significant existing and future growth, we are expanding Shift from the largest logistics tech platform in the UK, to penetrate the Asia market. We are looking for an experienced and motivated Entrepreneur with a proven track record in leadership roles to join our team. As a Country Head, you will be responsible for introducing Shift into the Singapore market and drive market penetration plans through the development and implementation of effective sales strategies.
You will be responsible for engaging with new business customers to create long term relationships and secure Shift as their preferred B2B2C logistics partner.
You will be joining a progressive scale up company and although this role will be focused on growing our business locally in Singapore. you will be expected to utilise and cross sell other Shift services such as on demand courier, contract removals and enterprise partnerships across the region.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is genuinely passionate for driving growth and is motivated by taking ownership of the market entry and success of Shift.
**Responsibilities included as a Country Head**:
- Take responsibility for the Singapore P/L
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve corporateobjectives.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key customers and partners
- To implement, execute, and ensure compliance to the global logistics standards & guidelines at Country level
- Analyse sales data and market trends to identify areas for improvement and growth
- Lead and inspire department heads
- Attend industry events and conferences to stay up-to-date on market trends and network with potential customers
**Requirements
**What you need to be successful as the Country Head**
You must be a driven self-starter that thrives in the face of challenge, with a resourceful and positive approach to problem-solving in a fast-paced and constantly evolving scale-up environment.
- Accomplished and proven track record within a corporate leadership role within a logistics business and has the ability to hit the ground running
- Exceptional knowledge of the local logistics industry
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
- Strategic thinking and business acumen to develop and implement effective sales strategies
- Analytical and data-driven mindset to analyse sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and improvement
- Negotiation and persuasion skills to close deals and secure new business
- Adaptability and flexibility to adjust to changing market conditions and customer needs
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the capability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong presentation and public speaking skills to deliver effective sales pitches and presentations
- Technical proficiency
