Job Opportunity: Business Advisor

Join us as a Business Advisor, where you'll play a crucial role in transforming and upskilling heartland merchants through various programs and initiatives. We're not just looking for someone to fill the position; we want an individual who is motivated to contribute to heartland precinct rejuvenation, business transformation, and other exciting projects.

Roles & Responsibilities:

As a Business Advisor, you will:

  • Provide business advisory to Heartland merchants, providing advice on business and digital transformation, and other areas to enhance their business operations.
  • Account manage Heartland merchants to ensure their success and growth.
  • Engage stakeholders and merchants through specific projects, fostering their capabilities and independencies.
  • Build positive relationships with government agencies, partners, vendors, and stakeholders.
  • Recommend relevant government assistance aligned with the business needs.

Requirements:

We're looking for candidates with:

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience, preferably with business development experience.
  • Experience and knowledge of working with local SMEs, Heartland merchants, or related stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, a team-oriented mindset, and the ability to build relationships across diverse age groups.
  • Proficiency in English, with good verbal and written skills, is essential. Knowledge of Mandarin will be an added advantage to effectively engage with Chinese speaking Merchants.
  • Independent problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • Ability to manage projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated and a passion for contributing to the heartlands and community.
  • If selected, candidate will be assigned to work in respective zones (West, Centre).

About The Federation of Merchants' Associations, Singapore (FMAS) :

FMAS is a non-profit organization that represents and champions the heartland merchants in Singapore. We organize various events and programs to ensure our members and heartland merchants' continual participation, learning and improvement to brace the new era of competition. FMAS works very closely with ministries, government agencies and other public and private stakeholders to drive projects to develop and improve heartland businesses.

About Heartland Enterprise Centre Singapore Pte Ltd (HECS) :

HECS is a subsidiary of FMAS. HECS' objectives are to champion and catalyze precinct rejuvenation projects for town centres with the support of the relevant government agencies and other public and private stakeholders.
