Our client, a leading medical devices firm, is currently seeking a Head of Accounting to join their team. This is a newly created position in Singapore, driven by the evolving needs of the business.

About the job

Reporting to the VP of Finance, you will lead a team managing accounting, finance, and financial reporting for the Europe entities, including overseeing the annual audit and delivering consolidated regional reporting. You will manage BPO services for AP, AR, and GL, collaborate with finance teams globally, and ensure strong governance, internal controls, and quality in the accounting close process. This role involves leading projects on accounting standards, M&A activities, and IT implementations. You will partner with senior executives, improve operational finance processes within SAP, and provide data analysis and dashboard reporting. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, embraces change, and enjoys optimizing processes while fostering teamwork and developing direct reports. A versatile, adaptable team player with strong problem-solving skills will excel in this role.

Skills and experience required
A recognized degree in accounting or equivalent, with at least 10 years of relevant experience, including expertise in European financial accounting and controlling, as well as team management experience. Proficiency in German would be a significant advantage, as the role requires communication with local German authorities.
