Roles & Responsibilities

JOB REQUIREMENTS

a) Able to prepare full sets of accounts using appropriate software e.g. Cloud Accounting software

b) Performs daily account payable function to ensure transactions are maintained in an effective, up to date and accurate manner.

c) Preparation of year-end schedules during Annual Planning Session (APS) for budget and related matter, internal and external audit.

d) Liaising with external parties such as auditors, bankers, etc.

e) Preparation of journal entries for accruals & other adjustments.

f) Other accounting support such as process suppliers' payment, staff expenses, reimbursement and other financial reports.

g) Reimbursement of cash flow accuracy on weekly basis and monitoring cash in bank and liquidity.

h) Prepare brief financial commentary on cashflow, income and balance sheet statements for the monthly board meetings as well as presentation materials for Annual General Meeting and Annual Planning Session including the necessary write-ups for the Annual Report and other management reports as and when required by church leadership.

i) Support the Heads of Operation and Admin Manager to strategize and plan for church necessary operations and functions.

j) Weekly collection of tithes and offerings (rotational basis).

k) Weekly consolidation of tithes and offerings, including encashment of collections.

l) Undertake ad hoc duties as assigned by Head of Operations or Senior Pastor.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

a) Minimum 5 years or more of related experience in doing full-set of accounts using either Financial Reporting Standards (FRS) and/or Charity Accounting Standards (CAS) will be advantageous.

b) Possess at least LCCI Accounting Diploma and above.

c) Understand and possess knowledge in Financial and/or Cost Centre Management Accounting will be advantageous.

d) Good interpersonal, written and verbal communications skills, able to work under stress with a problem-solving mindset with relevant skills.

e) Able to meet tight deadlines, work independently and a strong team player with a positive attitude and a strong sense of responsibility.

f) Proficiency in MS Office particularly the use of MS Excel and PowerPoint. Working knowledge of Xero Cloud Accounting software will be an advantage.
