  • Studyvehicle repair history and ensure Workshop Manager and Senior MotorClaim Advisor are informed of any unusual or repeatedcomplaint.
  • Write out, in-accordance with theindividual vehicle diagnosis, individual work orders with the jobitem numbers, job specification and flat ratespecifications.
  • Confirm with customer that ourrecords of their personal particulars are correct. Update historyfile and GDMS if there is a change.
  • ConductVehicle Reception Check with reception checklist in the presence ofcustomer for all cars brought in for body and paintworkrepairs.
  • Advise customers of the best methodto pursue their insurance claims from a few insurance claims optionavailable.
  • Negotiate with surveyor / insurancecompanies to get the best labour charge.
  • Promote the sale of workshop capacity by offering specialservices.
  • Promote the sale of parts andaccessories.
  • Verify job contents and checkvehicle exterior body for dents, scratches in the presence ofcustomer.
  • Prepare accurate accident repairestimate and provide supplementary estimate necessary.
  • Advise estimated repair cost for work to be done, ask forauthorisation budget on additional job.
  • Obtaincustomer signature on work order and advise them on the acceptedmode of payment (cash / credit card).
  • Add jobswith customer's approval or within customer agreed budget; key addjobs into GDMS and inform workshop foreman / workshop planneraccordingly.
  • Communicate with workshop foremanon the repair status, observe promised deadline.
  • Conduct final check on vehicle cleanliness, verify jobcompletion after end control.
  • Inform customerthat the vehicle is ready for collection, the repair cost andcollection time.
  • Decide appropriate goodwilldecision for request that falls under the normal framework.
  • Refer to Workshop Manager and or SeniorMotor Claim Advisor for assistance if help is required addressingthe customer needs.
  • Personalise vehicledelivery after repair to the customer including explaining therepair invoice to customer; inform the customer of any outstandingmatter, for instance jobs required to be done on next visit orparts on order if any.
  • Maintain the Body andPaint reception area neat andtidy.
Requirements:
  • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineeringor Business Administration
  • At least 3-5yrs ofworking experience as motor claims advisor
  • Experience in motor trade in Body and Paintdept
