Area Marketing Director APAC
(internal title: Director, Surgical Product/Brand Marketing - Downstream)
Major Accountabilities
- Lead Marketing planning and marketing execution for all Established Markets (TWHK, SG/TH, MY/PH) and Growth and Emerging Markets (GEMs) across all products in the Surgical portfolio for their respective geographic areas.
- Deploy pre-existing International Marketing Group (IMG) marketing programs and toolkits by acting as Go-to person and by providing dedicated support for their respective geographic area to ensure speed & accountability
- Provide "voice of their respective region" at the IMG
- Local presence to ensure customer centricity at a regional level, e.g., to avoid loss of KOL connections and to maintain sensitivity to local/regional cultural needs
- Drive alignment on launch execution as the SPOC & leader of launch readiness
- Lead NPL Forecast input coordination for markets under his/her responsibility.
- Support regional external events (but not lead or coordinate)
Key Performance Indicators
- Obtaining annual sales, market share, and budget targets for respective product line in dedicated markets
- Completeness & timely readiness of all marketing materials, plans, programs & toolkits
- Country satisfaction scores
Job Requirement
Education:
Bachelor's Degree; Desirable: MBA
Languages: Fluency in English, other languages are a plus
Experience & Competencies:
- Minimum 8 years' experience in progressive marketing management positions in highly competitive global Ophthalmology medical devices industry
- Customer facing/sales or commercial experience preferred
- Proven expertise in product strategy, brand marketing, portfolio management and new product launches.
- Capability to work in a complex global framework, including strong stakeholder experience and ability to lead cross functional teams in a fast paced and high demand environment
- Experience in deploying digital marketing innovations in Ophthalmology medical device industry and associated sales uptake
- Must have demonstrated strong long-term strategic thinking and planning for business success. Ability to bring innovative thinking, challenging status quo and managing the ambiguity
