Director Apac

**Overall Purpose**:
The Director APAC is to develop the market for the Company’s solutions, drive and support our partners to penetrate all relevant labs. The position is responsible for the organization, products, contacts with customers and distributors in the APAC region. The position includes responsibility to further develop a market support and sales organization in the APAC region. Furthermore, the Director’s overall purpose is to build a long term and strong APAC team with a growth focus.

The Director APAC reports to VP Global Sales.

**Responsibilities**:
The job includes, but is not limited to:

- Develop a strategic plan for the region
- Promote and create awareness for the Company’s products according to our strategic goals to end-users in the APAC region
- Responsible for fulfilling budgeted sales targets within the area of responsibility
- Process new customers and maintain contacts with existing contracted distributors in APAC
- Conduct customer visits to market and drive the sales of our products
- Support and offer product and sales training to our distributor partners
- Define and execute the Company’s business plan for key markets in the APAC region
- Liaise with contracted distributors in the APAC region, act as an advisor and continue to introduce new products
- Establish and maintain contact with key opinion leaders and customers and other persons of interest in the organisation and its activities
- Manage tender procedures and organize local customer and marketing activities
- Continuously monitor market trends and competition to support the organisation with information to further develop our products according to customers' requirements.
- Lead and manage the organization and employees of the team

**Requirements**:

- Well-developed leadership skills
- Excellent communication skills and comfortable working with a wide variety of corporate executives, sales, and marketing, engineering, operations, customers and business partners
- Results oriented and systematic methodology to organise and report work
- Proven teamwork and relationship management skills, excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills in English and in local language
- Comprehensive understanding of the healthcare market and to ensure/discover business opportunities
- Well-developed method of building and implementing a "go-to-market" growth strategy
- Independent and well-structured person with a high level of energy and passion and the ability to self-motivate resulting in a fire-to-succeed mentality
- Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office environment and other IT/communication platforms

**Education and Experience**:

- Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Master of Business Administration, Master of Science in Engineering, Specialist Education in Medicine Engineering or equivalent
- Work experience with distribution related B2B sales
- Work experience with teams in China and Japan
- 5-10 years of sales responsibility for haematology reagents
- 5-10 years of experience in the sale of instruments for Digital Cell Morphology
- 5-10 years of leadership experience with multiple direct reports and experience in leading a multicultural team
- Good data and software skills
- Excellent knowledge in English and French in both speech and writing
- Experience in budget work
