Roles & Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities

  1. Risk Management Mastery: Rigorously manage physical and derivatives trading risks for gasoil and gasoline in alignment with company compliance and risk management policies.
  2. Strategic Planning: Develop and execute annual work plans, assessment objectives, and budgets for the gasoil and gasoline book, ensuring precision and strategic alignment.
  3. Stakeholder Relationship Expertise: Take charge of reception, negotiation, and relationship maintenance with key trade parties. Collaborate with resource suppliers, logistics partners, and terminal operators for seamless operations.
  4. Business Innovation: Drive innovation by developing new businesses and markets. Optimize current business models to enhance value propositions for customers and end-users.
  5. Operational Optimization: Manage and optimize the storage of relevant oil products, maintaining effective inventory levels in line with the company's derivatives management measures.
  6. Chartering Decision Influence: Contribute to the ship chartering decision-making process for relevant oil products based on the company's chartering management system.
  7. Market Dynamics Insight: Stay ahead of the curve by providing market supply and demand outlooks for relevant oil products. Develop and expand regional trades, conducting risk assessments and feasibility studies for targeted markets.
  8. Research and Development Leadership: Assist in researching, developing, and evaluating new products and trading models. Innovate to enhance the overall profitability of the business.
  9. System Optimization: Take ownership of the timely entry of the trade entry system/database (CXL). Establish and maintain the business database, suggesting optimizations for relevant business systems.
  10. Financial Management: Oversee the collection of trade receivables, ensuring a smooth financial process for the company.

Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's in Chemical Engineering, Business Management, or a related field, or equivalent.
  • Trading Expertise: Minimum of 5 years of trading experience (physical and derivatives) in gasoil and gasoline, with a strong understanding of gasoil, gasoline, and fuel oil operations/logistics.
  • Market Insight: In-depth understanding of refining economics, market dynamics, and pricing structures in the gasoil and gasoline trading area.
  • Autonomous Trading: Proven ability to independently run a trading book, showcasing autonomy and decision-making prowess.
  • Execution-Focused Attitude: Hands-on and execution-focused mindset, capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Adaptability: Willingness to thrive in a challenging, fast-paced environment, adapting seamlessly to evolving situations.
  • Communication Excellence: Excellent people skills and communication skills, fostering collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Analytical Prowess: Strong attention to detail and effective analytical skills, with the ability to comprehend complex information.
