Phenol Trader

As a Light Distillates Trader, you will be responsible for trading light distillates, including gasoline, naphtha, and other refined petroleum products, both on a third-party basis and using our asset-backed trading capabilities. This is a strategic role that requires a deep understanding of the energy markets, strong commercial acumen, and the ability to capitalize on market opportunities to drive profitability for the trading desk.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute trading strategies for light distillates, leveraging both third-party and asset-backed trading opportunities to maximize profitability.
• Source and secure supply agreements for light distillates from third-party suppliers, ensuring competitive pricing and reliable delivery.
• Manage relationships with counterparties, suppliers, and other market participants to facilitate trading activities and optimize trading margins.
• Monitor market trends, supply and demand dynamics, and other factors affecting the light distillates market to identify trading opportunities and mitigate risks.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing terms, and other commercial agreements to optimize trading profitability and manage counterparty risk.
• Collaborate with other members of the trading team, including analysts, risk managers, and operations staff, to ensure smooth execution of trades and efficient management of trading positions.
• Stay informed about regulatory developments, market trends, and other factors affecting the light distillates market to adapt trading strategies accordingly.
