The Role

As a Delegate Sales Specialist, you will play a crucial role in driving delegate attendance to our conferences through targeted sales efforts. You will be responsible for identifying and engaging with potential attendees, building relationships, and ultimately securing delegate registrations. This role requires an understanding of content, basic industry knowledge of the cybersecurity sector and community, the ability to articulate the value proposition of our event, and strong direct selling skills to drive delegate acquisition.

Key Job Specifications

  • Work with the marketing team to develop an understanding of the event programmes and key propositions.
  • Research and engage potential event attendees in our target audience over the phone, social media, and emails.
  • Clearly explain the benefits of attending our conferences effectively, addressing the needs and interests of potential delegates.
  • Securing new delegate registrations and rebooking them from past events.
  • Provide excellent customer service by answering questions, and supporting delegates through the registration process.
  • Meet or exceed monthly targets for delegate registrations.
  • Provide timely reports on results and pending tasks.

Key Requirements

  • Previous experience in delegate/conference sales, telesales, and/or business-to-business sales roles is preferred.
  • Computer literate and proficient in the use of Microsoft Office
  • Demonstrate fluency in both written and spoken English
  • Excellent communication skills and telephone manner
  • Confident in speaking with senior-level executives from various industries.
  • Organised and able to follow up in a timely and systematic manner.
  • Track record of success in sales, with the ability to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Highly motivated, results-oriented, and driven with a passion for sales.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time and balance tasks effectively.
