Overviewof Position:

CHAI is seeking a Chief of Staff to CHAI's Chief Operating Officer (COO). The Chief of Staff will be a strategic partner to the COO, providing crucial support in managing all aspects of CHAI operations. This includes serving as a liaison between the COO, CHAI senior leadership, regional directors, and operational departments. The Chief of Staff will play a pivotal role in supporting the COO in strategic portfolio management, the development of a comprehensive talent strategy, and the identification, prioritization, and implementation of new initiatives to enhance organizational performance.CHAI places great value on relevant personal qualities: resourcefulness, entrepreneurialism, tenacity, independence, humility, and work ethic.This position will be based in Singapore or in a CHAI program country, pending country leadership approval. The role involves international travel (25-40%) and reports directly to CHAI's COO.Responsibilities

Execution and CoordinationSupport the COO in executing key operational objectives.Serve as a liaison between the COO, CHAI senior leadership, regional directors, and operational departments.Participate in internal and external calls and travel with the COO to ensure effective thought partnership and follow-through on action items.Strategic Portfolio Management SupportAssist the COO in sourcing, vetting, and prioritizing transformational program goals and providing support to a subset of these transformational goals.Aid in the development and implementation of performance management system to ensure successful execution of transformational goals.Talent Strategy Development SupportSupport the COO, Human Resources and Talent Working Group in developing a comprehensive talent strategy for CHAI.Organizational Performance EnhancementWork closely with the COO to identify, prioritize, and implement new initiatives enhancing organizational performance.Contribute to the development of a holistic, long-term operations strategy and roadmap.Logistical SupportManage scheduling and logistics through a shared Operations Associate, including travel planning, scheduling meetings, and coordinating events.Provide overall support and gap-filling on cross-cutting organizational initiatives to enable the COO to focus on strategic initiatives.Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 7 years of professional experience.Deep understanding and commitment to CHAI's work, culture, and values is required; the ideal candidate must embody CHAI's values in their day-to-day work managing the matrix.Exceptional research, writing, and strategic analysis skills.Able to synthesize learnings from diverse sources ranging from academic literature to conversations with internal and external experts to one's own experience in order to arrive at recommendations and plans on special initiatives.Proficient in producing content in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Proven ability to work efficiently and independently in a fast-paced environment.Exceptional representation of CHAI both internally and externally.Exceptional interpersonal skills, and ability to manage complex relationships including with very senior external counterparts.Demonstrable ability to collaborate well with CHAI leadership.Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion.Strong attention to detail.Previous experience working remotely with a decentralized team.#jobreference3 #region2Need help finding the right job?#J-18808-Ljbffr
