Roles & Responsibilities

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES / KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement environmental strategies and initiatives that are aligned with the overall business strategy
  • Plan and execute environmental strategies aligned with the business plan
  • Comply with laws and regulations such as various notifications and periodic reports related to factory operations
  • Execute operational management in accordance with ISO14001 ( ie. document management, record storage, emergency response, etc)
  1. Selection of environment-related consultants
  2. Alignment with government bodies for statutory compliances, licenses, and approvals
  3. Aggregation and reporting of environmental load data
  4. Development and maintenance of rules and regulations to be compliant with latest legislation and reforms
  5. Compliance with statutory reporting and filing requirements ensuringly
  6. Management, storage and control Enviromental Documentations and confidential files
  7. Response to environment-related questionnaires from customers and government agencies
  8. Development, review, and management of performance appraisal processes
  • Mannagement of Wastewater treatment and other facilities, renewable energy facilities
  1. Budget planning, and management of installation, remodeling, and repair plans
  2. Creation of specifications, request for price consideration, preparation of proposal documents, proposal
  3. Witnessing construction work, safety management, test run confirmation, and acceptance inspection work
  • Industrial waste operation management
  • Develop and implement robust EHS policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
  • Lead the coordination and communication of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives, focusing on sustainability projects and reporting
  • Collaborate with overseas factory management to conduct risk assessments, enhance emergency response protocols, and investigate incidents to prevent recurrence
  • Project Management of new buildings/facilities and re-development
  • Implementation of Mechanical improvement projects through planning, contract procurement and execution for the replacement or upgrading of Mechanical services infrastructure in a safe, timely and cost-effective way

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
  1. Holds qualifications related to pollution prevention, waste management, and energy, Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science
  2. At least 8 - 12 years experience in environmental (especially in manufacturing, notification, waste related, wastewater treatment facility management)
  3. Over 5 years of managerial experience, demonstrating effective leadership and strategic decision-making skills
  4. Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or equivalent qualification and experiences
  • SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS

Preferred criteria

  1. Accustomed to communicating & negotiating with the government
  2. Strong knowledge in Environmental laws and regulations practices

Desirable criteria

  1. Knowledge of ISO 14001 internal auditor
  2. Knowledge of wastewater treatment technology
  3. Experience in facility installation and start-up, building and utility construction management
  4. Possess past experiences working in a multinational corporation (MNC)
  5. Comprehensive understanding of EHS regulations, standards, and ESG reporting frameworks
  6. Expert understanding of related industrial safety and environmental regulations and general industry OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) regulations

  5. Definitely the ability to work with care and precision
  6. Ability to develop and integrate metrics into the projects and operations that clearly demonstrate the value of EH&S to the business
