Technical support engineer
Responsibilities:
1. Perform telecom product implementation, functional, interoperability, and acceptance testing (verify the required interfaces using Linux/UNIX/Wi ndows Server h igh level languages).
2. Update and track tests results, issues and associated test frameworks in partnership with development team.
3. Define, create & execute manual and automated tests as needed for the entire business solution.
4. Identify, diagnose, report, and assist development team in resolving defects and verifying bug fixes.
5. Taking ownership of technical issues, and working with our R&D to resolve more advanced issues when necessary.
6. Collaborate with global test team members to ensure clarity on deliverables, establish QA practices and promote knowledge transfe r. Provi des feedback to improve the testability or design of an end-to-end business solution.
7. Facilitate communications between Customer teams, project manager and internal stakeholders
8. Participate in peer reviews and inspections of requirements documents. Participate in peer reviews of work products derived from requirements specifications to ensure that the requirements were interpreted correctly.
9. Managing processes and ensuring to achieve targets in time.
10. Collaboration with R&D experts and staff members responsible for operations at the production site.
11. Sustainable Customer Relationship Management (define specific customer demands and comply with them in the product implementation, technical advice, etc.)
12. Produce high quality documents and regular reports
Job Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree in a Telecommunication / IT / Computer Science/ Engineering / Mathematical discipline or relevant skills or equivalent professional experience.
2. General understanding of database management systems and operating systems.
3. SQL/ Oracle / Linux certifications or a college project that you were involved in is considered a plus.
4. Prefer candidates possessing commercial experience implementing software solutions on UNIX and Linux platforms.
5. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Able to communicate with peers and management.
6. Ability to interact with diverse customers in a multi-cultural environment.
7. Required language: English, Chinese(need to communicate with Chinese customers and teammates, also need to talk with custermers and teammates who speak English).
8. Team spirit and hands-on mindset
Preferred qualifications:
1. Oracle (OCA) / Linux (SUSE)/ Soft ware Testing (ISTQB) or other related professional certifications.
2. Knowledge of test/QA processes and methodologies including execution and automation of tests.
3. Experience in creating test environments and knowledge of performance test tools and simulators.
4. Knowledge of bug tracking systems & defect management systems.
