Human Resource Manager

The Position
The Human Resource Manager will be reporting to the Managing Director and Director of the Company. The HR Manager will oversee the HR Team and all aspects of human resources practices and processes.
Job Responsibilities:
Recruitment, Onboarding and Offboarding
- Maintain the work structure by updating job requirements and job description for all current and promotion positions
- Review and establish screening and interviewing processes
- Counsel hiring managers on candidate selection
- Conduct and analyse exit interviews and make recommendations based on data
- Assist with recruitment whenever necessary, including screening, interviewing, reference check, hiring and HR onboarding orientation
- Work closely with HODs to plan new hires departments’ orientation programs with relevant stakeholders
- Develop, implement and review onboarding and offboarding processes
- Maintain company organization charts and employee directory
Compensation and Benefits Administration
- Responsible of reviewing monthly payroll prepared by relevant HR team member ensuring accuracy in salary payment including but not limited to commissions payout and other proration calculations
- Responsible of reviewing monthly claim expenses prepared by relevant HR team member
- Assist with payroll processing whenever necessary
- Engage in compilation of market insights for Compensation & Benefits review
Training and Development
- Develop, implement and review effective performance management system for yearly performance review (HO)
- Work closely with inhouse trainer and HOD to close any training gaps for Office employees
- Work closely with HOD / Director / Managing Directors in providing regular feedback and advise in employees’ growth and development
Labour Law & Regulations
- Ensure the Company is compliance with MOM regulations
- Provide professional HR advise to Managing Directors / Directors and relevant stakeholders
- Review and update all HR policy documents in line with Company policy and Government regulations e.g. Employee Handbook, Employment Letters
HR Strategies
- Work closely with Director / Managing Director in aligning HR practices with the Company’s vision and mission
- Identify workforce requirements needed to achieve goals to ensure right talent is in the right position
- Yearly review of HR strategies to ensure consistent HR practices alignment to business goals
- Involve in workforce planning when necessary
Operations
- Review and improve HR workflow and Standard Operating Procedures
- Responsible for handling employee grievances with strict confidentiality and advise line managers on the best HR practices and address employees’ queries on HR services and applications
- Maintain and update employee information in HRIS
- Maintain employees’ P file by designing a filing and retrieval system and keeping past and current records
- Ensure enforcement of Company policies and procedures
- Promote and foster a collaborative and positive company culture of mutual respect and open communication that drives teamwork, innovation and collective achievement.
- Lead, direct, evaluate and develop HR team
Job Requirements:
- Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration or Business Management
- 7 years’ experience working in HR department with 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role
- Experience in retail industry will be advantageous
- Strong understanding in labour law and regulations
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
- Meticulous and independent with good interpersonal skills
- Proactive with positive attitude as a team-player
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to develop and manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company
- Must have a sense of urgency, able to prioritise and meet deadlines
