Roles & Responsibilities

The Planning and Organisational Excellence (POE) team supports the Executive Director with initiating, orchestrating and executing strategic
priorities, ensuring that these initiatives are coordinated, operationalised and reinforced in a cohesive way and monitored for impact.

To this end, POE team interacts with staff from a wide cross-section of the organization and leads many of the most high-profile initiatives the organization embarks upon. POE also supports the ED with Board of Governance engagement and strategic partnerships and communications. Reporting to the Lead Manager, the Senior Executive for Planning and Organisational Excellence (POE) will be involved in data analysis, project and change management and stakeholder engagement (internal and
external).

Given the nature of the position, it is crucial that the postholder ensure confidentiality, maintenance of protocol and administrative procedures, as well as management of information flow and adherence to project timelines.


Critical Work Areas

Organisational Development & Excellence

  • Facilitate organizational development and excellence through conducting organizational reviews to identify strengths and weaknesses and to evaluate operational effectiveness
  • Develop an in-depth understanding and knowledge of the organizational structure to enable identification of synergies and impacts that may cross units and teams
  • Manage the implementation, communication and updating of corporate policy and procedures that promote the effective utilization of resources and support the organization’s strategic direction.

Strategy and Planning

  • Support development of strategic and long-range goals based on analysis and studies of internal and external conditions
  • Conduct research and data analysis to provide insight into significant organizational changes and support informed decision by leaders

Project and Change Management

  • Develop comprehensive project plans that cover all project related areas such as scope management, time management, risk management,quality management, and change management
  • Define service levels and requirements and engage stakeholders to achieve required standards and consistency

Develop Self and Others for Greater Impact

  • Proactively seek learning/upskilling opportunities and set stretch goals to drive own professional development
  • Proactively acquire knowledge, updates, and trends in relation to social service sector

Job Holder Requirements

  • Good Bachelor Degree
  • 2 to 4 years of relevant experiences in strategy planning, organisational development, project management, change management, or equivalent
  • Prior work experience in the social service sector would be an advantage
  • Only Singaporeans and Permanent Residents
