We are seeking an innovative and experienced Executive Chef, Chinese Cuisine to lead our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about modern Chinese cuisine, bringing creativity to dishes while maintaining authenticity. Job Description:

Culinary Innovation & Presentation

  • Develop and implement modern Chinese culinary trends while preserving traditional flavors.
  • Ensure high-quality presentation and plating standards to enhance the dining experience.
  • Experiment with new cooking techniques and ingredient combinations.

Customer Focus & Engagement

  • Understand and cater to customer preferences, providing personalized dining experiences.
  • Engage with new and regular customers to build rapport and loyalty.
  • Offer special tailor-made menus for VIP guests and special occasions.

Financial & Business Management

  • Oversee food cost control, menu pricing, and profitability.
  • Ensure efficient inventory management and waste reduction.
  • Collaborate with the management team on budget planning and revenue growth strategies.

Team Leadership & Collaboration

  • Lead, train, and mentor the culinary team to maintain high performance and creativity.
  • Foster a strong teamwork culture between kitchen and service teams.
  • Maintain high hygiene and safety standards in accordance with regulations.

Job Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an Executive Chef, Chinese Cuisine in a high-end restaurant or hotel.
  • Degree in Hospitality/Culinary Management is preferred.
  • Certified in Food Handling and HACCAP.
  • Certification in WSQ Conduct Food and Beverage Hygiene Audit will be an advantage.
  • Strong understanding of modern and traditional Chinese cuisine.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to create and adapt menus based on customer preferences.
  • Financial acumen in managing costs, pricing, and profitability.
  • Strong leadership and teamwork capabilities.
