About The Company
Global Precious Metals is a niche player in the wealth management industry. The company services high net worth clients who want to allocate part of their portfolio to alternative assets, including physical precious metals (gold, silver, platinum and palladium), as ‘wealth insurance’. The company has a diverse global clientele ranging from high net worth individuals, family offices, investment funds and precious metals trading companies. The company also provides fully insured custody of physical precious metals in high security vaults around the world.
Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Business Development professional to help increase our footprints in Asian markets. While the primary focus of the role will be developing client base in Southeast Asian territories, the selected candidate will be building on our existing client relationships and managing European client portfolio as well. He/she will be based in Singapore and work in a cross-border team to achieve the strategic objectives of Business Development team, reporting directly to senior management.
• Identify, cultivate new relationships, and follow up closely with potential prospects
• Actively engage and expand professional network to build a pipeline of prospects
• Collaborate with senior management to introduce and/or execute sales and marketing strategies
• Develop and negotiate partnerships and/or sponsorships at relevant industry events
• Create and deliver business presentations, publication materials, and market analysis
• Stay abreast with market trends to ensure that service offerings remain relevant
• Expand network of precious metals trading partners and service providers
• Maintain relationships with existing clients through client retention plans, improving client experience and anticipating client needs
Qualifications and experience:
• Minimum 5 years experience in business development role in a Southeast Asian country, preferably within precious metals or banking industry
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, International Business, Marketing or related field
Skills and expertise:
• Excellent command of English (a must) and additional languages (French and Spanish highly preferred)
• Knowledge of emerging Asian market (a must) and European market (a plus)
• Willingness to travel
• Exceptional interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients, business partners, management, and colleagues
• Strong focus, strategic thinking, and result oriented
• High level of reliability, professionalism and respect for confidentiality
