Summary

Reporting to the Vice President & Managing Director of APAC Healthcare, you will be responsible for leading a high performing sales and service organization in line with corporate and regional APAC strategy. You drive the commercial operations of both direct (India-West Asia and Vietnam-Indochina) and dealer markets (Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, Brunei) and deliver top line revenue and bottom line results. You will ensure that all elements of our commercialization efforts are aimed at creating value for the company, are commercially sound, compliant and fit with the company's strategy, goals and objectives as well as its Vision and Values.

You will be based in Singapore and will become one of the team members of APAC Healthcare Leadership Team.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and execute sales and service strategies to meet and exceed top line sales/service revenue forecasts and profitability targets. Provide detailed and accurate forecasting for the Region you are responsible for.
  • Responsible and accountable for Regional P&L.
  • Create an energizing, high performance sales and service culture underpinned by the STERIS values.
  • Set clear targets for direct salesforce
  • Lead and drive distribution markets in West Asia and South East Asia (except Singapore and Malaysia)
  • Lead the team and direct offices to design and implement the overall sales and service strategy for each product and category.
  • Ensure appropriate leadership and development of sales management and service team: define clear objectives, allocate resources, monitor activities, allocate fair rewards and sales incentive plans, provide developmental opportunities, develop strong employee development plans, etc.
  • Establish and maintain a positive attitude, constructive communication and transparency within your team and various stakeholders.
  • Create, build and maintain relationships with Key Opinion Leaders.
  • Collaborate cross functionally with the BU's, sales training, business analytics, finance and other critical functions to develop and execute strategic and operational plans.
  • Manage the overall sales process and sets appropriate metrics for sales management.
  • Establish and administer sales management's quotes and goals.
  • Develop annual strategy plan in support of organizational strategy and objectives in light of competitive landscape and market trends.
  • Monitor and incorporate knowledge of the changing healthcare landscapes in key markets.
  • Effectively manage the sales function in accordance with agreed budgets, objectives and timelines.
  • Align and catalyze internal functions to support the needs of the Customer.
  • Ensure that all commercial activities are compliant.
  • Ensure that all interactions and engagements are carried out with the highest ethical and professional standards and that all work is accomplished with quality and in accordance with STERIS values.

The Experience, Skills and Abilities Needed

  • Bachelor's Degree in any discipline. MBA is an added advantage.
  • Significant sales management experience in medical device industry with adequate years of experience leading a team.
  • Demonstrated success in bringing new products to market both direct sales and dealership.
  • Proven management skills including the management of people, budgets and within a matrixed organization.
  • Proven relationship builder with own network of key industry and Customer/Distributor stakeholders.
  • Significant experience in the medical device or biotechnology industry with a natural passion for the industry and a track record of successful innovative product launches.
  • Demonstrated skill in C-suite relationship building including experience negotiating with senior executives to close revenue-generating deals.
  • Strong understanding of the APAC Healthcare marketplace with clinical acumen.
  • Extensive travel within region of responsibility.
