Roles & Responsibilities

The Manager of Governance & Member Services is responsible for managing and coordinating various governance and member service activities, including the Investigation and Disciplinary Process (ICDC), Annual General Meeting (AGM), Nominations of Committee and Council elections, Members Recognition and Engagement events. The role also includes secretariat support for Council and other governance committees, finance/budget management, membership and CPE compliance monitoring.

Key Responsibilities:

Governance and Compliance:

  • Manage the Investigation and Disciplinary Process (ICDC), ensuring adherence to governance standards.
  • Liaise with legal advisors, ICDC panel members, and other stakeholders to manage disciplinary cases.
  • Assist with the review of policies and rules relating to governance and membership, including Constitution, Governance Manual, Council Proceedings Rules, General Meeting Rules and Membership Rules.
  • Assist with monitoring compliance on Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and Ethics Pronouncement.

Council and Committee Support:

  • Provide secretariat support for Council and certain governance committees meetings, including pre-meeting logistics and minute preparation.
  • Oversee and manage the nomination process for ISCA Committees and Council election.

Annual General Meeting (AGM):

  • Organise and coordinate all aspects of the AGM, including logistics, vendor management, and communication with Council members.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and reporting for the AGM, including minutes and post-AGM submissions.

Member Recognition and Engagement:

  • Plan and execute member engagement and recognition events, including award presentations, and member feedback management to ensure a positive experience.
  • Manage communication and logistics for events.
  • Assist to develop and implement strategies to encourage membership renewal and retention.

Financial Management:

  • Monitor and manage departmental budgets and ICDC related expenses.
  • Liaise with Finance and auditors for financial reporting and compliance.

Reporting and Data Analytics:

  • Conduct reporting and data analytics on member data to provide insights and support decision-making.
  • Liaise with relevant departments to gather and analyse data, ensuring accuracy and relevance.

Other Support and Corporate Gifts:

  • Provide other ad-hoc support for various governance activities and corporate gifts.

Requirements:

  • A degree, preferably in Accountancy, Business or related fields. Qualified Chartered Accountants of Singapore will have an edge.
  • At least 2 years of managerial experience. Experience in a professional or accounting firm will be an advantage.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyse data and generate insights
  • Writing Skills: Excellent writing skills for drafting emails, letters, meeting minutes, and reports.
  • Organisational Skills: Exceptional organisational skills to manage multiple events, meetings, and compliance activities simultaneously.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication skills to liaise with Council members, legal advisors, vendors, and other stakeholders.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in documentation, reporting, and compliance monitoring.
  • Positive Attitude and Adaptability: Maintain a positive working attitude to foster a collaborative and productive work environment, and be open to changes and new challenges
  • Financial Acumen: Basic understanding of financial management to monitor budgets and liaise with Finance and auditors.
