Hamamoto, a Michelin-starred fine dining Japanese restaurant, is seeking a talented and dedicated Junior Commis Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team In this entry-level role, you will play a crucial role in supporting our experienced chefs, honing your culinary skills, and contributing to the creation of exquisite Japanese dishes.


Responsibilities

  • Assist senior chefs in preparing a variety of Japanese dishes, following precise recipes and techniques.
  • Prepare and portion ingredients, ensuring the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to strict hygiene and safety protocols.
  • Learn and master traditional Japanese cooking techniques, including knife skills, grilling, and steaming.
  • Contribute to the preparation of intricate garnishes and decorative elements for dishes.
  • Assist with inventory management and stock rotation.


Requirements

  • Passion for Japanese cuisine.
  • Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality food preparation.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen.
