We are seeking an enthusiastic and growth focused individual to join our Growth & Sales team in Asia. This individual will be responsible for growing our pipeline of water opportunities and working closely with operations / delivery teams to develop, manage and prepare winning proposals.

Reporting to the Asia Water Market Senior Director, you will help to expand our presence in key markets in Asia, grow our Client Accounts, contribute to thought leadership and drive strategic initiatives. This will require working in partnership with operations and technology teams across various sectors and you are to ensure collaboration and teamwork. This role will require medium to high level of travel within the Asia region. The role is expected to consistently advocate and adhere to Jacobs’ business development processes, business integrity guidelines and applicable laws.

Key responsibilities of the role are as follows:

  • Building Client relationships, maintaining Client Account plans and growing accounts of identified Clients
  • Maintaining market connectivity and building brand, reputation and capability profile in identified markets
  • Conducting research and analysis of business opportunities
  • Preparation of budgets, business plans and strategies
  • Working with cross-functional teams to innovate, develop future-oriented solutions, “white papers” and value propositions
  • Engaging with all partners of the industry value chain to gather business intelligence and stay abreast of industry developments, trends and needs
  • Maintaining sales database hygiene, tracking sales performance efficiency and proactive management of forward pipeline together with the Market Director
  • Developing pursuit strategies and leading operations and dedicated proposal team members through the Jacobs sales process including responsibility for creation of key content and leading commercial and contract reviews
  • Implements quality, safety, and BeyondZero program to promote an incident and injury-free culture.

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • Degree-qualified with appropriate accreditations and have approximately 12 years or more of experience working in a professional services setting engaged in the provision of project management, engineering or advisory services. Direct business development or sales experience would be beneficial.
  • A growth mindset with an affinity for market engagement and relationship development.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal and influence skills with an ability to adapt to situations and is comfortable working in a multinational and multi-cultural setting.
  • Flexibility to travel within Asia.
  • Bilingual proficiency skills (English and Mandarin/Korean/Japanese) given the regional role coverage
