About the Programme
The Young Hearts (YH) Programme aims to give children and youth from lower-income families a leg-up in life and develop them into socially-responsible citizens via three key pillars: Education, Enrichment and Excursions.

At the heart of these pillars lies the critical element of mentoring, ensuring that our students receive guidance and support as they face various life challenges. The success of the programme is also hinged on the Community Engagement efforts to form meaningful and comprehensive partnerships while enhancing brand awareness on the ground.

Job Purpose
The incumbent will play a key role in strengthening and expanding the programme to better serve children and youth from disadvantaged and lower-income families. The role requires a strong balance of strategic partnership development, relationship-building and administrative expertise, particularly in managing financial and procurement processes.

Job Responsibilities
Programme Development and Innovation
● Ideate, develop, and test new programme elements outside of daily operations, in consultation with Management to meet the needs of and effectively engage children from lower-income families.
● Spearhead landscape analysis to identify unique value proposition of YH offering
● Conduct data gathering to assess needs of children from lower-income families to inform programming.
● Ideate, develop, and test new programme elements, in consultation with Management, to ensure they align with programme goals and effectively meet needs of the profile of children we serve.
● Spearhead landscape analysis to identify the unique value proposition of the Young Hearts offering, with a keen focus on the program's sustainability and growth.
● Conduct data gathering to assess the needs of children from lower-income and challenging backgrounds, so as to better inform programming decisions and ensure that resources are optimally utilised.

Stakeholder Management
Devise plans and strategies to:
● Foster strong working relationships with support services and professionals, including youth workers, social workers, and social service agencies to provide comprehensive support for our profile of children and youth, including planning, implementing and managing preventive frameworks, SEL sessions and appropriate preventive and remedial intervention.
● Coordinate volunteer recruitment, training, and engagement, including advocating for the programme while ensuring that volunteers and stakeholders are effectively engaged and aligned with programme objectives.
● Manage existing and new corporate and donor events and partnerships, ensuring that all programmes and partnerships are aligned for the best possible outcome for our children and youth.
● Initiate, establish, and maintain good rapport with corporate and community partners, engaging them confidently, positively and professionally to secure collaboration and support for the programme.
● Respond appropriately to partnership requests.
● Work closely and collaboratively with other departments on a variety of aspects pertaining to the programme, including publicity, media and volunteer management and donor relations.
● Ensure that all financial and administrative records are kept up to date and provide timely impact reports for various stakeholders.

Administrative & Financial Oversight
● Oversee the administrative and financial management of the programme.
● Lead the tender process for any procurement or services required for the programme, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and financial processes while ensuring partnerships and alliances are aligned with programme goals.
● Handle other administrative duties, including coordinating resources, processing invoices, and the timely and accurate submission of reports.

Job Specifications

Qualifications and Experience
● 2-4 years of experience in Social Service Agencies (SSAs), charities, or nonprofit organisations will be advantageous

Additional Skills and Knowledge
● Good command of spoken and written English
● Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace

Desired Behavior
● Strong interpersonal skills and a positive, warm disposition, with a genuine desire and ability to connect with individuals across various demographics, including children, youth, volunteers, and corporate sponsors/donors
● Ability to manage teams in an agile manner
● Self-motivated and proactive
● Willingness to work on weekends when required (time-off provided)
