Roles & Responsibilities

Audit Planning & Coordination

· Develop an overall audit timeline in discussion with management and work plan with auditors (EY, India) to meet the targeted completion of June (with a final deadline in August).

· Coordinate with internal global finance team and stakeholders and ensure alignment of schedules and deliverables.

Documentation & Information Gathering

· Collect, review, and organize all financial documents, including balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, and supporting schedules.

· After review, send information to auditors to avoid delays.

· Maintain systematic records of all correspondence and documentation for future reference.

Handle specific audit areas including:

a) R&D Capitalisation

· Review and assess R&D projects to determine which expenses qualify for capitalisation under IFRS

· Work closely with Finance, R&D and HR to gather supporting documentation, including project timelines, feasibility studies, and cost breakdowns.

· Work closely with EY to address their queries on our R&D activities and costs

b) Inventories

c) ROU Assets

d) Expected Credit Loss (ECL) review (bad debt provision)

Multi-Entity & Multi-Jurisdiction Management

· Oversee financial statements and reporting requirements for each entity in Singapore, USA, Amsterdam, India, and UK.

· Ensure compliance with local accounting standards and guidelines.

· Coordinate any adjustments or reconciliations needed across different regions to maintain consistency in group reporting.

Consolidation & Reporting

· Consolidate financial results from all entities into group-level financial statements, ensuring accuracy and completeness – as per audit requirements

· Validate intercompany transactions, eliminations, and currency translation.

· Prepare consolidated financial statements in accordance with the applicable accounting framework, comprising of P&L, Balance Sheet, Cashflow Statement and corresponding notes to accounts

Issue Resolution & Compliance

· Identify potential accounting or compliance issues (including those related to R&D capitalisation) early in the audit process.

· Investigate and resolve discrepancies or audit findings promptly.

· Ensure the group's accounting policies and procedures are consistently applied across all entities.

Stakeholder Management

· Serve as the primary point of contact for Ernst & Young auditors, facilitating regular meetings and progress updates.

· Communicate status reports and critical developments to relevant internal teams and senior management.

· Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., Finance, HR, R&D) for supporting data and clarifications needed for the audit.

Internal Controls & Process Improvements

· Evaluate current financial processes and controls, identifying opportunities for strengthening and improvement.

· Recommend and implement best practices to streamline audit preparation and reduce future audit complexities.

· Ensure adequate controls are in place to track R&D expenses, manage capitalisation, and handle periodic reviews.

Timely Completion & Post-Audit Wrap-Up

· Work diligently to achieve the June completion goal of obtaining the signed audited report from EY (latest by August).

· Provide final audit report and financial statements to relevant stakeholders.

· Conduct a post-audit review, documenting lessons learned and proposing improvements for subsequent audit cycles.

Tax Filing & Coordination

· Manage the preparation and filing of corporate tax returns in each relevant jurisdiction (Singapore, USA, Amsterdam, India, UK).

· Collaborate with local tax agent to ensure all tax obligations are met accurately and on time.

· Provide auditors and local tax authorities with any necessary financial data, ensuring compliance with local tax regulations.

Regulatory Filings & Legal Compliance

· Ensure filing of required financial statements and statutory documents in each jurisdiction by deadline.

· Ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements and deadlines (e.g., company registry filings, tax returns).
