Roles & Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in contract logistics, developing strong relationships with potential clients to expand the company's customer base.
  • Build and maintain long-term, productive relationships with existing clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and identifying opportunities for upselling or service improvements.
  • Lead negotiations for new contracts and renewals, ensuring favorable terms and conditions that align with company objectives, while minimizing risks.
  • Oversee pricing strategies, cost analysis, and financial forecasting for logistics contracts to ensure profitability and competitiveness. Develop and manage budgets for client projects.
  • Conduct thorough market research to identify industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs, using insights to shape commercial strategies.
  • Work closely with operations, supply chain, and procurement teams to ensure that client requirements are met effectively and efficiently while aligning with company capabilities.
  • Ensure that all logistics operations meet agreed service levels and performance targets, addressing any issues promptly and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Monitor the performance of contracts through KPIs, ensuring that key deliverables are met, and reporting on performance metrics to senior management.
  • Identify potential risks in contracts, pricing, and operations, developing mitigation strategies to safeguard company interests and maintain a high standard of service.
  • Lead, mentor, and train junior commercial team members, fostering a collaborative, results-driven environment focused on achieving business goals and continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • Degree in any discipline
  • Minimum 5 years of sales experience
  • Proven track record in managing contract logistics operations, including warehousing, transportation, and inventory management, with a strong understanding of the end-to-end supply chain process.
  • Expertise in negotiating contracts, pricing, and service level agreements (SLAs) with clients, vendors, and service providers to maximize profitability while maintaining high customer satisfaction.
