Singapore The Head of 3PL is a professional who is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a business unit and ensuring that the goals and objectives are met. The role is tasked with profit & loss responsibility, develop current and long-term objectives, policies, and procedures for the company in the 3 rd Party Logistic busines unit. He/she also represents the company to the customers, the community, and the general public of Singapore. This job would oversee, directly or through matrix, all or multiple functions inclusive Sales, Operations, Customer Services, Finance, Human Resources, Marketing, Quality and Information Technology, etc. This role reports to the Managing Director of Singapore.


Key responsibilities for this position are as follows:

• Achievement of budgeted revenue, gross margin and profit, quality of service and development of business base for the Singapore market.

• Oversee and actively participate in developing the Business’s sales efforts, ensure the quality and standards of the products or services are maintained.

• Develop our account management efforts to ensure client satisfaction and revenue growth of existing accounts. • Deliver consistent levels of high service to give the customer the best possible experience of our services.

• Developing and implementing strategies for business growth and improvement.

• Responsibility for the design, implementation and adherence to company strategies and policies.

• Management, motivation and support of all reporting staff.


Business Development

• Support the company’s business development programme and initiatives.

• Working with marketing & business development personnels to achieve maximum conversion ratios in line with profit targets to also include production of weekly/monthly sales statistics.

• Ensure effective customer service support to clients and advisors.

• Set pricing policies (in terms of margin) relevant to the market while recognising company pricing initiatives.


Personnel

• Recruitment, management, motivation, review and discipline of all reporting staff, in consultation with HR.

• Creation of an environment which encourages teamwork, innovation, enjoyment and demonstrates to employees that they are valued and appreciated.


General

• Ensure the company complies with all regulatory body requirements and employees observe the laws of the land.

• Ensure payment policies and credit terms are observed.

• Ensure all accounting and reporting deadlines are observed.

• Meet the monthly sales targets and budgets as set by the company.

• Meet monthly profit targets as determined by the company.

• Meet quality targets as determined by the company.

• Monitor and encourage excellent customer services effort in all departments.

• Lead across the region the sustainability agenda set by the company and local ESG priorities.

• Build and maintain excellent collegial relationships within the Asia region and wider Crown Group

Aptitude, Experience and Qualifications

• Strong leadership, communication & interpersonal skills and proven records in people management.

• 8 to 10 years of 3 rd Party Logistic industry experience, with relevant experiences in supervisory role.

• Have a strong appreciation of business processes and challenges.

• Previous experience in managing successful P&L.

• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing to a broad range of audiences including to senior management, service partners and clients.

• Flexibility to adjust with changing business requirements.

• Demonstrated analytical and creative problem solving skills
