Assistant Manager, Legal

Management of Board processes and meetings
- Manage corporate secretarial matters for the organisation to ensure timely and accurate company secretarial record keeping, support statutory and regulatory filings/applications and monitor relevant deadlines
- Assist the company secretary and board secretariat in management of the Board
- Arranging hybrid-mode board meetings including logistics and attendance of attendees
- Provide secretariat support to the Board of Directors which would include administrative support and coordination between internal staff and Board members
- Coordinate signatures on a variety of corporate documents
- Design, develop, and implement systems and process changes to increase efficiency, support scalability and ensure quality
- Maintain an up to date regional company profiles and statutory documents
- Support and work with business units and functions on the corporate-related requests
Legal Support
- Provide administrative and general support to the Legal team
- Tracking of legal requests which the legal team receives
- Perform general ad hoc tasks as and when required by the in house legal counsels
Contract Management
- Assist in setting up a framework and structure to support the management of contracts, memorandum of understanding and partnership agreements
- Assist in the filing of contracts
- Creating and maintaining document and correspondence database
Job Requirements:
- Degree/ Diploma in law preferred with at least 3 years of company secretarial and document management experience in a law firm or in-house legal department
- Ability to draft board minutes as well as board and shareholders resolutions, and/or review simple contracts/NDAs is advantageous
- A highly motivated self-starter and versatile team player
- Adaptable to changes and embrace improvements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with good attention to detail
- Ability to build strong working relationships with stakeholders at all levels
- Able to work independently, prioritise, and follow through on multiple, concurrent, and often competing deliverables, while managing expectations of the business and meeting deadlines
