Responsibilities

As CTO for their new Accounting & Finance Product you will oversee it's build, conception, execution, and ultimate delivery of new capabilities aimed at realizing significant benefits. A critical aspect of your role will involve assembling and leading a highly skilled team proficient in program execution, change management, risk management, business architecture, and process re-engineering-all geared towards advancing strategic initiatives within the organization.

Additionally, you will collaborate closely with Group IT to establish a robust data governance and architecture framework, ensuring a unified source of truth for reporting-an indispensable element within the insurance industry. Building and nurturing long-term relationships with both internal and external senior stakeholders will be paramount, necessitating the development of a comprehensive stakeholder management strategy.

Furthermore, proactive risk and issue management, facilitated by a robust governance structure, will be crucial in enabling timely decision-making and effective engagement throughout the transformation process. You will also play a pivotal role in guiding enhancements to the IT support model for finance systems, ensuring clear accountability and incident categorization, all while adhering to stringent regulatory requirements within the insurance sector.

Requirements

To thrive in this role, you should bring 12-15 years of senior experience in Group finance/accounting Technology within the insurance or financial services industry or at a Product driven company. Financial reporting processes and Engineering / Architecture Technology experience would be ideal. Proficiency in leading teams and developing long-term strategic plans is essential, as is the ability to navigate complex IT systems effectively. Your track record should underscore your ability to contribute effectively to business solutions in a highly competitive environment. Strong commercial acumen, paired with exceptional analytical and strategic thinking skills, will be paramount given the intricate nature of the insurance landscape.
