MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Program Development & Training
- Review and enhance the youth Program and curriculum to meet evolving needs of young learners.
- Develop and implement engaging youth activities rooted in experiential learning, interest-based exploration and fun.
- Continuously adapt and improve programs based on feedback, and emerging trends to ensure relevance and impact.
- Maintain accurate records of participants, schedules, and budgets.
- Organize and coordinate enriching activities, including youth gatherings, outings, year-end camps, and volunteer sessions.
· Develop impactful training programs to inspire and support volunteers, including facilitators and teachers.
· Coordinate workshops, retreats, and appreciation events to nurture both volunteers and participants.
Training & Development
· Build, train, and support a team of dedicated facilitators, ensuring new team members are onboarded.
- Develop and implement training program and workshops to upskills volunteers and promote collaboration.
· Facilitate parent workshops and sharing sessions, creating opportunities for deeper engagement and learning.
- Build strong relationships with parents by providing regular updates, feedback sessions, and progress sharing.
- Plan and manage volunteer schedules, while fostering a culture of appreciation, collaboration, and growth.
- Engage with community partners and/or with external vendors to enhance program needs and strengthen community ties.
Administrative Coordination
- Ensure the smooth onsite operation of the Youth program, creating a welcoming and supportive environment
- Oversee program logistics, including schedules, venue bookings, and transportation arrangements.
- Maintain comprehensive records of registration, attendance, participant feedback, and budgets.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for youth, parents, volunteers, and stakeholders, handling enquiries with care and professionalism.
- Oversee the administration and operations of Dharma education programs.
- Provide administrative support for other Dharma education programs and team initiatives.
Marketing and Outreach
· Collaborate on promotional materials to creatively showcase programs and engage participants.
· Manage social media content to increase program visibility and connect with the wider community.
· Work with internal teams and external vendors to boost outreach and participation.
SECONDARY RESPONSIBLITIES:
- Support additional duties and projects related to the Dharma Propagation Team.
- Assist in coordinating and supporting temple events and other Dharma Propagation Program (DPP) activities.
What We're Looking For:
- A passion for youth development and creating meaningful experiences.
- Prior experience in youth program development, education, or facilitation work is preferred.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to connect with diverse stakeholders
- Proficiency in MS Office and social media platforms for marketing and administration.
- Ability to multi-task and work within time frame with minimal supervision
- A flexible mindset, willing to work evenings or weekends to support programs in a Buddhist environment
Work Hours:
· This is a full-time position 5-day week. Flexibility is required to accommodate program schedules, including weekends or evenings.
