Sales Engineer

Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Expand Gestra/Spirax Sarco business by proactively searching for new customers while maintaining strong services to existing distributors
- Undertake a business plan for assigned territories in accordance with set and agreed KPIs and company standards
- Evaluate customer requirements to map out solutions and recommend and propose steam system services, improvements and upgrades
- Recognize and convey potential areas of opportunity to the marketing and business development team
- Negotiation, closing of sales, and conduct product presentations
- Preparation of tender bids for Project/MRO quotes with technical and commercial negotiations.
- Undertake a business plan for assigned territories in accordance with set and agreed KPIs and company standards
- Maintain customer records and proactively plan customer account activities and objectives through CRM
- KPIs at weekly and monthly intervals or as directed by the Area Sales Manager
- Work closely with all supporting departments including Sales & Service Support, Warehouse & Distribution, and Finance departments to achieve the company's objectives
- Other tasks or duties as assigned by Line Manager
Qualifications
- Degree in Engineering or Diploma with at least 1 - 2 years working experience. Mechanical Engineering background would be an advantage
- Personal attributes: Commitment, problem solver, high energy, positive thinker and self-driven
- Demonstrate customer service skills and appropriate business presentation
- Proficient computer skills (i.e. Microsoft Office and Dynamics CRM)
- Strong interpersonal skills, self-motivated and positive work attitude
- Willing to travel for business trip (if needed)
